Re: Connection failed when Shutter running as a service

First, make sure you read this article: http://www.den4b.com/wiki/Shutter:Run_as_service

Running Shutter as a service is not officially supported, but if you provide more details we might be able to help you.

1) What method to you use to run Shutter as a service?
2) Have you tried other methods, mentioned on the Wiki (link above)?
3) What error message do you see when you open Shutter's web interface in the browser?

Re: Connection failed when Shutter running as a service

Thanks,  your quickly answer to me.

when i register shutter to windows service on my remote computer,
(now, my remote computer has running on windows7-ultimate version)

### first,
using sc.exe (windows service control util) .. but failed.
Showed message to me,  register success service on command mode,
but shutter not running on service

### second,
using Any2service (Third party tools) .. but failed
service register had been failed

### third (success)
using instsrv.exe, srvany.exe

copy file.. instsrv.exe , srvany file to windows\system32
cd c:\windows\system32
instsrv Shutterexe c:\windows\system32\srvany.exe
regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Shutterexe
(please confirm image)

Setting of shutter my remote computer, please confirm image file

one strange thing.
it's not same shutter running memory size???
service running mode : process name(shutter.exe), memory(1,364KB or above this)
normal running mode : process name(shutter.exe), memory(2,121KB or above this)

i guess i wrote all of this about problem.
please, check and find solve to me.

so sorry and very thanks.

Re: Connection failed when Shutter running as a service

I tested it and it works fine, no problems with connectivity.

I installed Shutter 3.5 as a service using NSSM - The Non-Sucking Service Manager.

The command was:

nssm.exe install "Shutter"

A dialog will open which will ask you to specify the full path to Shutter.
