Shutter not starting until login

Hey forum,

Shutter works great for me, except it only becomes active whenever I login. I'm not using the scheduled tasks, just the webinterface. Running it on Hyper-V server 2016. Before I log in to the Administrator account on the machine, the webinterface is not available. After I log in with my user account, everything works just fine. Is there a way to run this as a service or something? Or would maybe a startup script be able to fix this?

I have the option "Autorun at Windows startup/logon (all users)" enabled.

Thank you in advance for the help.

Re: Shutter not starting until login

Hi Jaapyse,

Shutter is essentially designed for a user session environment, not as a system service.

You can still run Shutter as a service, which will be running all the time, not only when a user is logged in, but there are few limitations.

You can find out more information here:

Hi den4b,

My apologies for my (insanely) late reply... I tried NSSM about a week after your post and it worked flawless first try. My friends and I have been using this for a few weeks now and it works amazing. You are the best! Thanks a ton!
