Windows 10 - Dragging files

Hi

I'm on Win10 build 14352, Admin, Renamer 6.4 is set to run with Admin rights.

I cannot drag & drop files into it.
i have to use the Add Files button to load files into it.

Re: Windows 10 - Dragging files

If you run Windows Explorer with normal (low) rights,
and if you want to drag & drop to an elevated application,
then the OS will prevent this action (low-right app -> high-right app)

Solution: do not run ReNamer 'as Admin'

But thanks for the detailed report, that helps to help you.

Re: Windows 10 - Dragging files

Hi

My apologies, I forgot to add that it is Renamer portable.

What do you mean 'run Windows Explorer with admin rights'?
Do you mean log onto the hidden Administrator account?

Re: Windows 10 - Dragging files

Why do you need to run ReNamer with admin rights? Are you renaming system files? Did you try dragging and dropping files from Explorer onto ReNamer that's not running as admin?

Hi

No just plain files.
I just tried it and it worked! Thanks

I never imagined that adding Admin rights would reduce the abilities of the program smile
