ReNamer crashing when selecting tif files

ReNamer Lite 6.4 2016-02-27
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

When trying to select .tif files using any of these methods:
1) drag and drop into the 'drag your file here' box
2) using the 'Add Files' button on the toolbar to select individual files
3) using the 'Add Folders' to select an entire folder contain tif files

The 'drag your files here' pane turns black and then the application shuts down and exits.

If I manually change the extension on the file from .tif to .jpg, I'm able to select the same file without issue.

Re: ReNamer crashing when selecting tif files

Thanks for reporting this issue.

ReNamer handles all files in exactly the same way when they are added to the files table. TIF/TIFF files do not get any special handling.

1) Do you have any active rules when you add TIFF files?
2) Have you tried doing the same operating on a different computer?
3) When a crash occurs, do you get any message? Windows crash report?

Please send a sample TIFF file that causes ReNamer to crash, your Settings.ini and a preset file with your active rules.

If we cannot reproduce it on another computer, it is most likely a fault with your local environment, maybe a faulty shell extension.
