Hi again!
I discovered that the DEL key don't work to delete items in specific circunstances... Tested in version 6.4.0.0
The DEL key press recognition seems "toggled" every time that one of the "Clear..." contextmenu options is selected.
How to reproduce the problem:
1. Open ReNamer, and load/drop any file.
2. Select any of the "Clear..." options from the contextmenu. (lets say "Clear All" option)
3. (Optional step) In case of all filenames are deleted from the table, then load/drop any file again.
4. Try to delete any item from the table using DEL key.
Steps for a temporal fix:
1. When you note the DEL key is not working, just use any of the "Clear..." options from the contextmenu to "re-enable" the key.
Thanks for read

OLD MESSAGE:
I don't know how to reproduce the problem, it happens sometimes, sporadically, and I think that one of the factors to happen is that in the files table should exists other filenames with validation errors.
I just have a screenshot that I taken this time of a files table on which the DEL key is not working (sorry, but as I said I don't know how to reproduce the problem):

If it helps for debug, these are the steps I did:
- I loaded a bunch of +4000 files dragging one folder.
- After files were loaded, I opened the contextmenu and selected the option "Clear Not Changed"
- At this point, I noted the problem of the DEL key when I tried to remove some items.
When I try to delete any green or yellow item pressing the DEL key, I can't, nothing happens, the key seems to be ignored. After pressing the "Rename" button, the DEL key works again.
It really happens much times and I can't find the reason why.
EDIT:
Its happening me again, and this time I only have loaded one item (successfully validated), it's a .m4a file.
EDIT 2:
New theory, I think the DEL key problem just occurs after loading miles of files (after confirming the messagebox that is shown)

Thanks for reporting this issue.
It is quite an odd one and tricky to replicate, but eventually it boiled down to a simple problem.
The files table context menu options were not appropartiely updated after the change of selection, so shortcuts wouldn't work in some cases when their corresponding menu options were in disabled state.
This problem should be fixed in 6.4.0.2 Beta (already available for download).
