Remove part of file name at hyphen

Hey All,

I'm looking for a way to rename hundreds of my music files. What I currently have is the artist name, then sometimes the album name, then the track number, then the song title, all separated by hyphens. What I'd like to do is to remove the text before the track number, but I'm not really sure how to accomplish this with Renamer. Can anyone help?

Cheers,
David

Re: Remove part of file name at hyphen

Hi and welcome!

You can e.g. utilize Rearrange Rule.
See our famous wiki for details >> http://www.den4b.com/wiki/ReNamer:Rules:Rearrange

But be sure all your file names can be described by am common pattern. All must have the same amount of hyphen.
If they not, you have to separate them before renaming into groups. Or try to use right-to-left matching if that better fits.
