Problem with Add files (Can't find file Please check the name)

Hi community,

I wanted to add files from a folder to rename them.

My filenumbers a like this:

67-0001.jpg
67-0002.jpg
69-0010.jpg
69-0011.jpg

and so on

After selecting a lot of files - I'va got a message:

67-
Can't find file
Please check the name

But - there is no file with name 67-

After selecting only a few files - I've got the message:

67-00
Can't find file
Please check the name.

Any idea?

So - und jetzt für die Leute, die mein Englischgestammel nicht verstehen. :-)

Ich wollte markierte Dateien umbennen. Allerdings erhielt ich die Fehlermeldung:

67-
Datei konnte nicht gefunden werden.
Überprüfen Sie, ob der Dateiname richtig ist.

Wie kommt er denn auf die Nummer 67- ?

Wenn ich weniger Dateien auswähle kommt eine ähnliche Fehlermeldung:
67-00
Datei konnte nicht gefunden werden.
Überprüfen Sie, ob der Dateiname richtig ist.

Aber auch solche Nummern gibt es nicht.

Meine Dateien sind wie folgt aufgebaut:

67-0001.jpg
67-0002.jpg
69-0010.jpg
69-0011.jpg

Jemand eine Idee warum das Programm diese Dateien 67- oder 67-00 sucht?

P.S.: I choosed now the function ADD FOLDER for all the files - this runs good and without error.
So - the problem is resolved

It looks like you were adding files via context menu, command line or "Send To". In this case you need to be aware of the limitation in Windows on the length of the command line, which would get silently truncated if it reaches the maximum allowed length. This could result in an error message that you have described.
