Win 7 Pro/32, up to the date PC, nothing unusual, attempt to set this configuration item always fails with the following message on a Windows Dialog Box, titled "Warning", with the following text displayed, "Failed to apply system settings. Error: Failed to create key Directory\Shell\ReNamer.add"

Re: Unable to "Add folders context menu"

Since Vista and Win7 you need elevated admin rights to do some system near modifications,
even if your user is an member of the local administrators group.

Try right clicking the ReNamer.exe and choose "As Administrator", then do your settings.

Also you don't have mentioned which ReNamer version you use.
Since 2010-10-30 there was an update (Read more...) That was ReNamer 5.50+ Beta 40. Right now we have version 5.60 recent.

Read the  *WIKI* for HELP + MANUAL + Tips&Tricks.
If ReNamer had helped you, please *DONATE* to Denis or buy a PRO license. (Read *Lite vs Pro*)

Re: Unable to "Add folders context menu"

Guten Tag, Stefan.

I was running it under the admin account, but hadn't explicitly ran ReNamer "As Administrator".  Doing this worked.

Vielen Dank!
