Re: Chinese and Japanese translit alphabets

well... here s the story...
i have 35000 files
some of them have russian (np)
some have chinese (P)
and some have japanese (VBP!!)
i will start with creating a simplified chinese alphabet  TRANSCIPTas i suspect it has not much letters (compared to 2500 letters of traditional chinese)

so that i can fnally sort my files...yes...

Re: Chinese and Japanese translit alphabets

I dont know asian languages either but i tried to replicate a dummy translit  like the one below

诶=a
比=b
.
.
.
维=1
提=2
.
.
and so on

but the document where i took the letters from did not match the filenames, it must be some different kind of chinese my files are using...

Those 35000 files, they do not have to be named precisely so

Can you add "Renamer" a feature to detect non-unicode characters and replace them with random numbers and letters?
that will definitely solve my problem.

Re: Chinese and Japanese translit alphabets

Use "Strip" rule and select all of the options, especially "Strip all characters except selected".

Then, use "Serialize" rule to insert random digits if you wish.

I will suggest using the forum email option to contact the poster (crystal3d) as there is almost no chance that he/she checks a topic that was posted years ago.

If you do get the list, please share it and I can upload it to the Wiki.
