Remember last position and size error

I'm experienced an error when trying to test maximize function in ReNamer (latest beta) when "Remember last position and size" is on. Steps to reproduce an error:

1. Open ReNamer (Remember last position and size must be already unchecked)
2. Check "Remember last position and size" and save that setting
3. Click on maximize button
4. Exit ReNamer
5. Start ReNamer (main window is maximized)
6. Click restore button and ReNamer shows in up/left corner of the screen totally resized

Denis, can you make ReNamer remember the position/size for the Add Rule dialog as well? (http://www.den4b.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1154)

Re: Remember last position and size error

I am using the latest Beta 56, but I am having a very, very similar problem:
Of course, if I don't mark "Remember last position and size", the window always comes centered (good), but, unfortunately, also really, really small (in dimensions).

- So, I have the setting "Remember last position and size" always ON.
- The problem is that the Window remember it's size, indeed, but it always comes back a few pixels to the left
- There comes a point where ReNamer Main Window acually comes a good part "masked" under the main taskbar (the taskbar is of a fixed size - 3 columns - and position - to the left - on Windows XP 64bits). --> see picture below:
renamerdesktop.png

It looks to me that the window "walks" aprox. half the taskbar width to the left every time...

I would love that too, this would be specially useful when editing a lot of Pascal Scripts in different windows.

If possible, whenever you get around to work on saving those window preferences, it would also be great to be able to remember the "Presets Manager" also...  wink

By the way... Nice job with those new icons on the "Presets Manager" window!  smile

Re: Remember last position and size error

Well... I just wanted to report that version 5.60 of ReNamer is still
"walking on my screen" by exactly 90 pixels (the size of my windows
taskbar to the left), until it finally decides to "sit under the taskbar"tongue

Take a look at the [Position] section of my ReNamer.ini

PosX=-90
PosY=15
Width=1088
Height=1061
RulesHeight=304
Maximized=0

I haven't found a practical way of preventing this so far...

EDIT: just thought I should mention that version 5.50+ beta 32 does not "walk on my screen".

@auwebio
maybe a practical way to do it it's with autohotkey. you can change the value inside the ini file, and after that launch renamer.

It really solves that specific problem for me, many thanks for that very quick response!  smile

Edit: if possible, in a future version (there's no hurry), to add the
"Remember last size and position" also for the Rules window it would be great! wink
