I have just discovered / found this excellent program, but I have one problem.
I want to rename Outlook MSG-files using meta tags. (MSG-files is saved and/or dragged and dropped from MS Outlook to the file system.)
Inserted tags: (after delete from position 1 until end)
:Outlook_DateSent: - :Outlook_Sender: - :Outlook_Subject:
This will make something like
YYYY-MM-DD hh.mm.ss - sendermail@test.com - Subjectline.msg
Problem is that this works fine for all received mails, but for mails I have sent myself the date field is empty, creating something like
- sendermail@test.com - Subjectline.msg
The required info (sent date) is in the MSG files, but not where ReNamer looks. I have used a utility (MSGtoEML) to convert MSG-files to EML. Renamining the resulting EML-files gives the wanted filenames, but now as EML)

The same topic have been discussed previously, here is the link:
Using Email DateSent meta tag for Outlook

Okey,- I should have made a search on the forum first.
Anyway, I have searched the web for a rename utility to rename thousand of msg-files, and ReNamer is the only one I found so far which comes close to what I need. Wish there where a method to find send date from outgoing mail, - as the info is inside the msg file somewhere.
There must be something usefull here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library … G.80).aspx
Or not?

I have downloaded (trial) Viewer for MS outlook Messages from http://www.scalabium.com/ (or http://www.fileguru.com/Viewer-For-MS-O … s/download)
I have found a property (the property?) which hold the send date (for both outgoing and incoming mail):
Under
__properties_version1.0
ID 0x00390040
CLIENT_SUBMIT_TIME
....can this be found by a script?
