Shutter praise and two instances in autorun

Denis, I came across your software, Shutter, while I was looking for a program to control the sequence of my computer Startup programs (your program looks like it might be good for that too).

Thank you for this neat piece of software.

Regards to you and all on this forum,

Jeff

Re: Shutter praise and two instances in autorun

Can anyone tell me if, when one has two instances of Shutter running the parameters are kept separately so that if the PC reboots both instances will restart if the Autorun at restart/logon option is selected?

Re: Shutter praise and two instances in autorun

Hi JeffK smile

Sorry for such a late reply, I was away on my holidays and just came back...

Shutter stores all it's settings in the INI file in the same folder as the EXE file. If you run two instances on Shutter from the same location, then both of them will try to write their settings to the same INI file, thus, the settings from the last closed instance will be remembered.

If you want 2 instances of Shutter which would use 2 different sets of setting - you need to create 2 copies of Shutter, in 2 different folders, which would use 2 different INI files.
