I think this option is too important then letting the user find out how to add an PascalScript rule "Serialize duplicates.pas".
I suggest "Serialize duplicates" should find his way to the settings.
Till then i post here the current work around:
To prevent getting error messages on renaming (or even previewing) files
if one or another file name already exist (or going to being existent)
we can add an rule "PascalScript" and just load the script "Serialize duplicates"
which comes with each ReNamer download in his script folder.

Have a look at the Options menu (above files table), there you'll find an option called "Fix confilcting new names".
