Find the entry with matching letter

Shutter has two pulldown menus for (a) Events and (b) actions.

it would be nice if the user can select an entry by pressing the starting letter. If there are more than one entries, the selection should cycle through them all.

For example, pressing R jumps to the entry that begins with R (Run program)

It find only the first entry with the matching letter. If I tap the same letter key again, it does not cycle through the other entries. (in fact, suppose I am halfway down in the list, it jumps UPWARDS!)

I am so surprised that you didn't try entering the whole action/event name (as opposed to cycling by the first letter). There is your hint: try typing "RU" instead of "RR" for "Run Program", and you'll find out what I meant!
