Hi Denis.
I know (or imaging at least) one could use PascalScript for this issue
but for the easy, would you want to add two new "Meta Tags" (File_Ext and File_Name) ?
Be cause i didn't found some thing to add smtg like File_extension
I only found :BinarySign_Extension: which miss some extensions
(html and js) like you can see in my screenshot
where i use INSERT EXT as Prefix and add an back slash to move file separated by ext into sub folders:
For the completeness i suggest an new meta tag "File_Name" also, may be useful smt.
What do you think?

I've added File_FileName, File_BaseName and File_Extension meta tags. I think they are self-explanatory.
By the way, BinarySign_Extension uses an embedded list of known binary signatures, for binary files, that's why it can't detect extension of files like TXT, HTML, JS, PAS, etc - because they are all text files, not binary, thus, wouldn't have a common signature.

At the moment, File_Extension tag will return extension with the dot.
Do you think that the dot should be skipped? "extension" instead of ".extension" ?

YES!
"extension" only please.
Be cause someone may want to add the (original) ext somewhere in the file name too?!?
Like:
MyDescriptions001(Original :File_Extension:).bak
MyDescriptions001(Original txt).bak
(.extension is also bad for my Move-To-SubFolders-by_ext example)
So i think it's easier to add an dot ourself if we need it
rather to find an rule to include the original ext and then remove the leading dot.
Thank you very much.

Totally agree! Beta is updated to exclude the dot from the File_Extension tag.
