Hi everyone
Is it possible to set which file types a preset should act on?
I know there is the possibility of importing it by default but it would be useful to be able to add this differentiated option based on the preset you are loading.
For example, I would like to make changes only to the .jpg files when I add a folder which, however, also contains mp3 or flac. And the preset instead changes everything
Thanks

You can use the Filter Settings to control which files/folder are added to ReNamer.
You can also save your pre-configured filter settings along with a preset. There is an option for that in the Save Preset dialog.
If you want to filter the list of files already in ReNamer, then have a look at the options in the Files Menu.

Thanks, I knew these options but, in my opinion, it should be possible to insert, in each added action, the possibility of applying the rule only to certain files and if we want it to also be applied to folders. In this way each preset would be independent and much more customizable.
For example, sometimes I have folders that contain both flac and jpg and mkv, for example
2020 - Artist (folder)
10 - Artist - Title.flac
cover.back.jpg
2019 - Title.mkv
and I'm forced to add one file at a time
But I understand that my request is difficult to fulfill, thanks anyway

Currently, there is no way to instruct ReNamer to apply a renaming rule only to certain files or folders. We'll add that to the feature request list.
However, you can prepare several individual presets (combinations of rules and filter settings) each configured to rename a certain group of files or folders.
Then repeat for each preset and root folder:
Load a preset
Add the root folder
Apply rules and rename
Clear all rules and files/folders
You can also create renaming shortcuts on your desktop and simply drop your root folder on each of the shortcuts.

thanks for your answer.
I really hope that the options I wrote will be included in the future
