Unrecognised Characters in File Name

With following rule

Translit: Transliterate Ş->S, İ->I, Ç->C, Ğ->G, Ö->O, Ü->U, ş->s, ı->i, ç->c, ğ->g, ö->o, ü->u, ş->s (13 parts) (skip extension)

I get following result:

File name:
Can Dündar- Oğluma doğum gününde bu yazıdan başka verebileceğim bir hediye yok

New File Name:
Can Dündar- Oğluma doğum gününde bu yazidan başka verebileceğim bir hediye yok

I see that turkish characters in file names does not recognised except "ı". Do you have any solution?

I have realized that it is about specific folder that I recovered before. It is working fine for other folders. Any idea to fix this?

Unicode characters can be defined using exact character codes or using combining characters. The displayed characters will look identical, but their binary content is completely different. The conversion process between these forms is covered by the Unicode Normalization standard.

Alphabets in the Translit rule are normally defined using exact character codes, so the combining characters won't get affected. If we put your example through a Unicode analyzer "Oğluma doğum gününde bu yazıdan başka verebileceğim bir hediye yok", we will see those combining characters.

One could define all possible forms of the same visual character in Translit alphabets, but it is much easier and less error prone to simply strip away those combining characters, which can be accomplished by using the "Strip unicode marks" option in the Clean Up rule.
