Detecting Battery

Hi i'm new here. Is shutter able to detect when a PC is running off battery? i will be running a stick pc in a truck. the 24v will be going through a 5v step down regulator then into a lipo charger with battery attached. The aim is to have the PC auto boot when the ignition is on and truck running and when the ignition is off to run on the battery with shutter set to shutdown the pc when it detects 95% battery power. Will shutter know the PC is running off battery power? if not how can i get it to know it's running off battery power?

Thankyou

Re: Detecting Battery

Yes, Shutter can do it.

It has a dedicated "Battery" event which you can configure to trigger when the battery level goes below 95% and (simultaneously) the power supply state is offline, i.e. battery powered.

Here is a screenshot of the event configuration:

That's great, will it be able to detect it's on battery even though it's going through a regulator? or is there somthing else needed?

I'm not sure. But, as long as the Windows operating system detects that the PC is running on battery, so will the Shutter.
