I've looked at a LOT of file renaming programs, and this one is just great.
I run a lot of "portable applications" from a USB flash drive.
Can this program run from one of these, or must it be installed (and does the installation write to the registry) or is it a case of copying the application folder to the usb drive and running it from there.
It's important that the software doesn't leave a footprint in the registry. I have taken a quick look and it "appears" to be clean in the registry.
Meaning I could (for example) run it from the usb drive on my work pc and it wouldn't leave a trace on that pc.

Yes, ReNamer is completely portable!
It doesn't need Registry (only for Installer/Uninstaller), so you can easily put ReNamer onto your USB disk, and it will work from it. You can download an Archived version of ReNamer and simply unpack it anywhere you want, and that's it
All the Settings, Presets, Translit Alphabets, Scripts and Help files will be stored in the same directory as ReNamer.exe.
