There is a "Wait till the execution finishes" option in Shutter's Run program action.
What is the purpose of this?

Could be that it's triggered when the program exits? Sure sounds that way from its name...

It does exactly what it says on the tin. Shutter will wait until the execution of the specified program is finished (program terminates), and only then it will proceed with the rest of the actions.

Oh so this option is applicable only when another action follows this particular action.

From user's point of view it may seem this way, but it is actually more serious. Shutter will literally hang (stop its execution) until that program is finished/terminated.

If the action is set in Repeat mode, would this option affect the next execution of the action?
In that case, this option is significant even when we have loaded only a single action.

Yes, it will behave exactly the same way in Repeat mode too.
