Firstly, hats off to Den4b for producing the best renaming app, bar none.
I have been annoyed by the really loud BEEP! that happens every time I change a rule (on my Vista pc, haven't checked my XP pc).
The subject was raised in the two posts listed below but, as these were raised some time ago, I thought it best to make a new post.

I found a solution that works for me at : http://www.vistaheads.com/forums/micros … -beep.html
The steps to take are :
First, go to:
CONTROL PANEL --> SOUND --> SOUNDS. Find DEFAULT BEEP, and change the sound to NONE.
If you want you can change the Sound Scheme to NONE and there is also an option to uncheck the Windows Startup Sound.
Second, go to:
CONTROL PANEL --> DEVICE MANAGER. Click on VIEW, then SHOW HIDDEN DEVICES. Double click on NON-PLUG AND PLAY DRIVERS.
Find BEEP and double click. Click on the DRIVER tab, then choose STOP and on the pull down menu, choose DISABLED.
(I didn't choose the last step, just left it on the default SYSTEM, but it still did the trick)
All fixed for me, hope this helps someone else.
