Issues with multiple replacements in one rule

Hey Folks!

I'm new to ReNamer, and not super techie at all - I know just enough to be dangerous! wink I have got it to work for other replacements, but I'm having problems with the queries below.

I created this "find rule" to rename files:
FAR*|*FAR - Copy*|*FAR - Copy (2)*|*FAR - Copy (3)*|*FAR - Copy (4)*|*FAR - Copy (5)*|*FAR - Copy (6)

To replace with this:
ABCD1*|*ABCD2*|*ABCD3*|*ABCD4*|*ABCD5*|*ABCD6*|*ABCD7

And instead of getting what I want, which are individual files named liked this:
ABCD1
ABCD2
ABCD3
ABCD4
ABCD5
ABCD6
ABCD7

I'm getting this output instead:
ABCD1
ABCD1 - Copy
ABCD1 - Copy (2)
ABCD1 - Copy (3)
ABCD1 - Copy (4)
ABCD1 - Copy (5)
ABCD1 - Copy (6)

What am I doing wrong/missing?  Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Cordatus

Re: Issues with multiple replacements in one rule

Hello, and welcome.

Your search pattern does not appear match your filenames, i.e. none of your files have "FAR" in the name.

Can you provide a complete example with original filenames and desired new names, including all your current rules?

You can export your rules into clipboard via the right-click context menu.
