Read file name and change exif date

Hello,
my images are always saved in the following format:
20211231_163200.jpg

Renaming by a program changes the creation date.
Is it possible to take the date from the filename and save it as exif date?

Yes, it is possible, but not with ReNamer directly. ReNamer is capable to reading the meta file information, like EXIF data, but not writing meta information back into files.

You can use one of these capable tools:

* ExifTool
* Exiv2

You should be able to find many examples online.
