Enhancement Request: Rules for entering files/folders can now be saved

Nice new idea:

Allow for saving "rules" for entering files/folders into list of files/folders to be acted upon.

Just as now there are rules for acting upon files and folders.  A large set of rules, in fact.  How about allowing for rules to create the list of files/folders to begin with.

For instance:

-- rule #1 -- All the files in c:\a.  In other words, c:\a\*.*
-- rule #2 -- Well, you missed a key folder there as well.  So, I'll be explicit, also include the folder in c:\a\, c:\a\results\.  (That's a folder, "results".)

If there is a way of doing the above that I'm not yet aware of, please tell me.

Thanks much!

There is no visual interface to pre-program which files or folders to add, but you can do that using the command line interface, which is very commonly used for sending files/folders to an application.

For example:

"C:\Path\To\ReNamer.exe" "c:\a" "c:\b" "c:\x\*.mp3"

You can create a shortcut to ReNamer and specify your arguments in the shortcut details, which will allow you to launch ReNamer and add your desired files/folders automatically. The command line interface also lets you load a preset and rename files automatically.

Sounds good to me.  Will go the route you suggest.  Thanks much for getting back so swiftly.

Hope all is fine in your neck of the woods.
