Hi,
I am trying to rename photos taken on my Samsung S7.
Renamer Pro gets the model number from the photo - but it is the internal name for the S7, namely SMG930F.
I use a Replace All rule but it does not rename the SMG930F text to S7.
Aside: another camera I rename photos from, Olympus TG-5 does rename properly (ie I have a 'Remove All' to remove the '-' from the model name.
Is there some other setting I need to use to get it to rename SMG930F to S7?
Best wishes,
~Andrew~

Hi Andrew.
You shouldn't need any extra settings, your existing rules should do the job.
I am suspecting that the there may be some weird, or even invisible, characters involved. All kinds of strange symbols can get injected into the filenames from raw meta tags.
Please export your filenames via the Export menu > Export file paths and new names. Then share the exported file, upload or by email. Also, if possible, please share one source file.

You gave me the tip that solved it! Thank you.
Using Irfanview, I saw that the EXIF property for model was actually "SM-G930F" -- note the hyphen!
Step 5 removes all hyphens, so I didn't see (though it was right in front of me!) that the replace rule in step 4 was working - just that it was looking for the model name without the hyphen.
So, changing step 4 (and 3) to replace "SM-G930F" with "S7" fixes it.
Thank you once again for the tip about checking the EXIF. Much appreciated.
Best wishes, and happy new year!
