Automate License registration for Shutter

We are testing and considering the use of Shutter Lite/Pro in order to automate log-off on a number of shared company (between 20 - 60 )workstations  after a period of user and network inactivity. Testing so far with manual install indicated the product could fullfill the required function. Hence we assume we require the Shutter Pro version instead of the Lite version.

If we proceed with the roll-out we would use SSCM software distribution to the required workstations. So we have some questions on how the registration for the license activation works in that scenario.

1) Is is possible to automate the licence registration on the client by adding a licence file during the software distribution ?
Packaging the software (company policy versus manual install) for automatic distribution but having to activate it manually on every PC would be cumbersome.

2) Is there a difference in this registration/activation scenario if we would proceed and opt for a site license (single company license key/file, rendering activation easier) versus registration on a limited number of workstations (each having their own specific licence key)

Yes, it is possible to automate the product registration through command line options. Please contact us by email for more info. Email address can be found in the About dialog of any product.

The registration process is same for both type of licenses. The difference would be in the management and tracking of licensed workstations on your end, where site license minimizes this effort and may be more cost effective depending on the required number of workstations.
