Adding date taken for images?

Hi,
I don't know if this is possible now (I haven't found it yet) but if its not I would like to request that feature. To be able to add the date of the image was taken to the name.

I was going to ask the same, my mom wants me to sort all her photos and she has photos from many travels, I was going to add a prefix with the date taken of each photo to the name so the BD reader could read them in order but the meta tag doesn't exist.

Thanks Stefan, that did the trick, not only I learned how to do it, I learned how much information we reveal in the EXIF tags when we upload images to the internet, really scary, thanks again.
