Cannot add files because of masks

I have used Renamer in the past, about a year ago.   now I cannot add files to be renamed,  i have tried the 'add files' button, dragging files, and copy and paste files, and 'add folders' button,   for some reason they do not appear in the bottom section,  I have now upgraded and reinstalled but there is no change.    I have win 8.1  64 bit and am using version 5.75 lite non commercial version.
anyone have a solution i can try??

Re: Cannot add files because of masks

First thing is to check the Filter Settings...

Make sure that you have no Masks defined, because this can potentially filter out all files.

Re: Cannot add files because of masks

Thanks for your reply... the filter mask is set to avi;mp4;flv;mkv;, (these are the type of file i'm adding)  this must be the default as i have not changed or added anything.

Re: Cannot add files because of masks

Hi again,  I have deleted the  avi;mp4;flv;mkv; that was in the filter mask and I am now able to add video files, which is good,  thanks again.

Re: Cannot add files because of masks

You didn't have correct masks. It should be:

*.avi;*.mp4;*.flv;*.mkv

Your previous set of masks matched only files which were actually named "avi", "mp4", etc.

Re: Cannot add files because of masks

It works ok without any filter masks, so I'll leave it at that.   thanks again  smile
