I was trying to add a folder skipping itself, but getting the files and the folders within it.
In the filters I had "Add folders as files" and "Skip root folders". What I expected with that was to get the folders inside but not the subfolders of them, that's why I did not mark "include subfolders".
The thing is that I didn't get nothing but the files. Testing it I get that doing the same just trying to get folders (no files), it doesn't load anything at all.
This is happening in the last beta, I didn't tested the stable.

Yes, this is by design. If you take a look at the following example where "C:\Folder" is the path that we add to ReNamer:
C:\Folder -- root folder
C:\Folder\File.ext -- contained file
C:\Folder\SubFolder -- contained folder, or simply subfolder
C:\Folder\SubFolder\SubFolderFile.ext -- contained file within subfolder
Not marking "Include subfolders" will prevent "C:\Folder\SubFolder" from being added.
In your case, you should not add "C:\Folder" directly, instead select and add all of the subfolders of "C:\Folder", but make sure to remove tick from "Skip root folders" and "Include subfolders".

I know, but drag and drop to shortcuts has a limit of files in windows, that could be avoided by dragging the root only.

I understand what you are saying, however, under the current design of filtering this is all we can do, i.e. add the contained folders themselves. What would really solve your issue I think is an option to specify the deepness level of included subfolders. In your case, you would skip the root folder and use "1" as the required deepness level.
By the way, in addition to drag & drop you can also use copy & paste, or the "Add Folders" dialog which won't have the limits on the number of folders you can add.

Well, with the window open dragging and dropping to the window doesn't have limitations, only to shortcuts.
Let me explain what I was trying to do. But before continuing I'd like to make clear that I wasn't trying to request any new feature, just that the behavior wasn't the expected given those settings.
Now, what I was trying. Imagine a some files (or folders) and you don't know what they are. With a pascal rule you make them open, and then a dialog appears to ask for the name of that file. When you enter the new name, the next is open and again the name is asked... and so on.
The problem when the renamer window is open is that the dialog is attached to the big window. And when I'm going to enter the name, the full window appears over the view of the file.
I went around of this issue starting renamer by dragging and dropping into a shortcut with /rename command because in that way it only appears box but not the big window behind.
But, if you were to think about something around the windows and dialogs, there is an issue that appears randomly. There is a message box that appears after renaming (maybe because of a setting) and this dialog sometimes looks to appear but it gets stuck behind the big window. And by doing changes between windows and Alt+Tab it reappears above and finally I can see and accept it. I didn't say anything before because it doesn't always happen, at least I don't know how to reproduce it. And apart from that the analyze window when it falls behind, but it's still open may cause confusion or unpredicted activity because of processing the analyze items without knowing the analyze window is still there in background.
Some time ago they were independent from renamer, with their own taskbar item. But then, I remember, there was some talk around this issue in the past but I don't remember why was that it ended like this
This was some general talk, for my issue I'll just do it in some of the other ways.
Thanks for listening

I've done some changes to address the issues that you have described with dialogs/windows.
The next release will contain the fixes, but the latest development version currently does not have them.

I didn't see the new beta until today. But I think I didn't explain myself when talking about the "big window".
What I meant was that when doing an Alt+Tab (Not exactly, I use an AutoHotkey Script to bring it to the top), I wanted just to see the small dialog box above the opened file. not the full renamer window.
So if you were unsure of the change made (I personally don't understand what it does different now) feel free to revert it.
I'll keep using the "/rename" or "/preset" features, that only display the full window after all the files (dialog boxes) have been processed.
Sorry about that. Thanks for the effort anyway.
