Removing after 5 digits

Hello all,

Big time newb here and Im sure my question has been covered in one fashion or another and I apologize if it has.

My files all look like this :

12345 of 6-18-2010.mpg

Random first 5 digits and random dates.

I want to remove everything after the 12345. This number is usually unique but sometimes is not. I think I know how to fix that by going to options > Fix conflicting new names.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi and welcome!

Removing everything after the first 5 signs, no matter if digits or chars:

FROM:
12345 of 6-18-2010.mpg

TO:
12345.mpg

USE:
Delete: Delete from Position 6 until the End (skip extension)
