Ability to input domains in web interface IP section

Hi there Denis.

First of all, I want to thank you for your excellent software that you develop big_smile

And I'm glad that you're giving it for free.

What I'm asking you, is to add domain support in the IP address box of shutter's web interface.

That's because almost everyone uses dynamic IP's and the only way to know your IP address all the time when you are away, even when it changes, is through dyndns or no-ip support.

I want this feature to be able to put my no-ip domain so I can know the exact address of my pc every time when I'm away from it.
Is it possible?

Thanks for your time and keep up the good work. big_smile:D

Re: Ability to input domains in web interface IP section

Hi there, Damageplan!

What you asking for is kinda tricky. Web interface server has to be binded to some particular IP:PORT couples, before it is started. So the only way to bind it to a host name is by checking every-so-often if the IP address of that host has been changed, and if it has - re-bind and re-start the server.

There is another option that might help you: You can BIND TO ALL network interfaces, by entering 0.0.0.0 IP address.

Will that solve your problem?
