Hi!
Sometimes ReNamer finds multiple possible extensions for a file (when using its built-in "Extension" rule or the "TrID" PascalScript).
However, its error message says "warning! Found x invalid filenames!"
This particular message should be more explicit/precise.
It should also explain what the user should do next.
For example, change the message to:
Multiple matches found for the extension.
Try from this list: <list>

Regarding multiple possible extensions, first of all I'd like to say that DUBS really should use '/' as a separator rather than '|' (as I mentioned here almost 3 years back). In case of certain fonts and at certain sizes the pipe, capital I and small L characters look very similar indeed.
As for the error message, I guess since there can be many ways in which not just the extension but even the filename can be invalid, Denis chose to have just a single simple message to cover every possible case. I don't think it's a high priority issue, but as always, it's up to him if he wants to change it.
P.S. The script can of course show a customized error message, but then we'd have 2 messages showing up for the same thing, which might confuse users further.

IMHO if the preview stage detects two separate issues in a file, both should be reported.
For example, the other rules result in a illegal name; and at the same time the TrID rule finds three possible extensions for the file. Now the user will have to correct the problem in the name and also choose from the suggested extensions.
Therefore it is only logical that both issues are reported explicitly. (If there are multiple error messages, they can be stacked).

Well I'm neutral either way, so even if it isn't implemented, it's not something that'll affect me. Will the lack of separate detailed error messages affect/confuse a new user though? Maybe... Anyway, no real objections to your suggestion from my end (not that I necessarily have a say), so it's up to Denis...
