Denis, I wanted to write help for this topic; but unfortunately I have no idea how this works.
Please describe the basic process; and then I will illustrate that, and also brush it up.
What I want to do is to place a diagram with two PCs connected through internet cloud. (The PC running Shutter is called "local PC"; and the other one is called the "Remote PC".) I understand that the remote PC can log in using a BROWSER. Is that correct?
Suggested outline of this article: 1. What is the step-by-step process? What address does the user enter in the browser? 2. A newbie would not know the "Local" PC's IP and port address. Describe the steps to find it. 3. Would the firewall block access from the remote PC? How to allow access? 4. What are the preconditions for the remote log in to be successful?
(Local PC must be running, the shutter must be running in "local PC", the Local PC's firewall must not block access, etc.)
5. Typical screnshots of the web interface, and what each part means. 6. How to make use of the web interface (what can be controlled). 7. DO's and DON'Ts. 8. Limitations (what it does and what it can NOT do)
