Re: Inputting capital letters in an interactive WideInputDialog?

I looked into this issue and was able to reproduce it and fix it. Please try the latest development version (i.e. Beta 19).

Also you won't see anymore the main window flickering when performing command line renaming.

FANTASTIC! I'll try it on monday at the latest. You're the boss!
And I didnt intend to seem impatient earlier. Glad you've taken the effort to check it out though.

Cheers! smile

Re: Inputting capital letters in an interactive WideInputDialog?

It happens this to me when dragging into a shortcut with /rename param:

(The main ReNamer window blanked behind the input box)

Was that with Beta 19 or 18? Beta 19 should work fine, tested on Windows XP and 7.

Win XP Pro SP3 (32bit)

How do you make the test?

I just created a preset with the code of Stefan in this topic, then create a shortcut with <...ReNamer.exe /rename "test">
and then drag a file into it.

I don't know what else could be relevant here.

Could someone else confirm or not, please?

Re: Inputting capital letters in an interactive WideInputDialog?

I'm very sorry for the delay of my response, it's been over a week since I promised I'd check it out "at the latest".
But I'm happy to say that for my part, it works excellently. Both with the test earlier shared by Stefan and my own script.

Thank you all.

Re: Inputting capital letters in an interactive WideInputDialog?

SafetyCar, I'm still puzzled by the blank main window shown on your system. The command line renaming code was moved to the startup code, that is after everything was created (including forms) but nothing is yet shown. Any other hints that you might be able to provide? Can you test on other systems?
